Crowning glory We like to see more fluid, organic forms in high jewellery and Chaumet’s La Nature collection taps into this spirit by channelling the life cycle of plants, from bud to bloom. Taking inspiration from drawings and photos dating from 1885 to 1938, the collection is made up of stylised motifs of the laurel, ear of wheat, oak and lilly. Who wouldn’t secretly want to flounce around in this Passion Incarnat tiara in white and pink gold and set with pear-shaped red spinels from Tanzania, round and marquise-cut rhodolite garnets, green tourmalines and brilliant-cut diamonds? If the occasion, like most, doesn’t warrant a tiara, the piece’s two larger lilies can be detached and worn as brooches and the largest can be adapted into a pendant. The price for the Passion Incarnat tiara is available upon request (inquiries: 2536 9338).
