Peraino says:

“This endowment finally recognizes a dexterity of essay lyrics as on a standard with created poetry, novels, histories, and oratory. Combining a story-telling structures of folk ballad traditions, beat-poetry tide of consciousness, and strident observations about a vicious issues of war, discrimination, girl culture, and religion. Dylan’s change can be listened in a songs of a Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Joni Mitchell, and Bruce Springsteen, and Patty Smith among many others.

“It has been pronounced that Dylan once called Smokey Robinson ‘America’s biggest poet.’ Although this might be apocryphal, we would do good to remember that a ‘great American strain tradition’ cited by a Nobel cabinet encompasses African Americans and other minority groups as well. we demeanour brazen to a day when the excellent rappers such as Kendrick Lamar accept their Nobel Prize for Literature.”
