Elemis Biotec’s Skin Resurfacer (HK$1,480 for a 90-minute session) heals blemishes and reduces fine lines and wrinkles. The facial starts with an ultrasonic peel, during which a vibrating metal plate is used on the face to exfoliate and remove dead skin cells. This is followed by light therapy, with a red light used to stimulate blood circulation and a blue light for treating breakouts and calming the skin. The end result is visibly smoother skin and a glowing complexion. The treatment is available at Nude Waxing Beautique, 8/F, VPlus, 68 Wellington Street, Central.
Polaris’ Cryo Facial (HK$600 for a 15-minute session)is suitable those with little time to spare. Simply drop in during lunch or swing by after work. The best part is there’s no need to take off your make-up. A stream of cold air is blown across the face and neck, which is said to increase collagen production and produce tighter and firmer skin. Be warned, however, you may feel a sharp pain around sensitive areas such as the neck. Polaris is at 10/F, Lee Theatre, 99 Percival Street, Causeway Bay.
For at-home treatments, there’s 111Skin’s Meso Infusion Micro Mask (HK$1,400 for four sets). Designed by plastic surgeon Yannis Alexandrides, these patches target expression lines. Place one on nasal or frown lines, crows feet or under the eyes and leave it on for at least 40 minutes.
